Head Director – Rhea Intermediate

Melissa was born and raised in Phenix City, Alabama. She graduated from Louisiana State University (LSU) in 2005 with degrees in Music Performance and Music Education. She also graduated in December of 2009 from Texas A&M University-Commerce with the Master of Music Education degree.

She taught high school and middle school band in Mesquite ISD for 14 years prior to coming to Forney ISD. Melissa is thrilled to teach band at Rhea Intermediate School. Her husband Donny Behne teaches choir in Rockwall ISD and they have a son named Caleb who is the joy of their lives.
